AFGHANI MOMOS
Filling Ingredients:
- 1 chicken breast, minced
- 1 egg
- A handful of green onions, chopped
- 2/3 green chilies, chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Sauce Ingredients:
- 1 tsp butter
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- ½ tsp garam masala
- ½ tsp coriander powder
- ½ tsp cumin powder
- ½ tsp tandoori masala
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- A handful of fresh cilantro, chopped
- 3–4 tbsp sour cream
- 2–3 tbsp cheese (grated or shredded)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix minced chicken, green onions, green chilies, ginger garlic paste, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir in one direction.
2. Add the egg and continue mixing.
3. Fill dumpling wrappers with the mixture and seal to make momos.
4. Fry momos in oil on medium heat until golden brown.
5. In a separate pan, melt butter and sauté green chilies.
6. Add all the spices and cook on low flame.
7. Stir in sour cream and increase heat slightly. Add sliced onions.
8. Toss in the fried momos and sprinkle cheese on top.
9. Let the cheese melt, then garnish with chopped cilantro.
10. Serve warm.
