With rising inflation, unmanageable electricity bills and political unrest, increasing uncertainty continues
to loom over us Pakistanis. It’s becoming difficult to stay hopeful, but it’s in times like these that we
mustn’t forget the power of faith and determination. It’s truly a blessing to be living in our own, free
country; a blessing not to be taken for granted. We should do whatever we can in our individual
capacities for the wellbeing of our homeland and face these hardships with courage.
There’s dire need for us to stand united, in particular, against injustice and intolerance of any kind. Our
team strongly condemns the violence targeting the Christian community in Faisalabad’s Jaranwala area.
Attacking innocent lives, damaging property, instilling hate and fear; none of these acts uphold the
teachings and principles of The Holy Qur’an and our beloved Prophet (SAW). If the intention is to restore
the true spirit of deen, we need to first make efforts to rectify and reform our actions.
Pinning our hopes on more consolidated solutions to combat this air of disillusionment. The younger
generation needs reassurance that good times are not too far- let’s pray we’re able to give them that.
For every dark night, there’s a brighter day. May ours be soon!
